Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, WorkJam has dedicated our internal weekly newsletter to Black voices, history, and resources. We’re proud to support local causes and businesses and have prepared a few resources worth checking out.

Black Youth Helpline

WorkJam has made a donation to BYH to help support its objective of ensuring access to professional assessment, intervention, services, and support for youth and families. We encourage you to explore their mission and learn more about their resources: www.blackyouth.ca/

Health and Wellness

2022 Black History Month theme is Health and Wellness. This theme acknowledges the legacy of not only Black scholars and medical practitioners in Western medicine, but also other ways of knowing (e.g., birthworkers, doulas, midwives, naturopaths, herbalists, etc.) throughout the African Diaspora. The 2022 theme considers activities, rituals and initiatives that Black communities have done to be well.
