Data Study: What is the Economic Impact of an Hourly Employee Missing a Single Shift?

For millions of people in full-time service jobs, missing just a few hours of work can be financially devastating.

WorkJam surveyed hourly workers and examined the impact missing a single work shift had on hourly employees and their employers. The study exposes the far-reaching implications of missing a single shift, including being unable to pay utilities on-time (49 percent of respondents), missing rent (27 percent of respondents), and foregoing groceries for a week (25 percent of respondents).

In addition to analyzing how a missed shift hurts employees and employers economically, WorkJam also looked for root causes to these scheduling challenges. Download our white paper, The Economic Impact of an Hourly Employee Missing a Single Shift, to learn more.
