WorkJam Accelerates Asia Pacific Expansion with Key Executive Appointment

World leading digital workplace provider brings on retail industry visionary Andrew Myers to drive the company’s continued expansion in Australia and Asia PacificMontreal, Canada — December 18, 2018 – WorkJam, a leading digital workplace solutions provider, today announces the appointment of one of Australia’s top retail industry executives, Andrew Myers, as Vice President of Asia Pacific (APAC) and Global Digital Strategy.

In his new role, Myers will be charged with driving the company’s continued expansion into Australia and Asia Pacific. One key area of focus will be to manage WorkJam’s regional Melbourne office where he plans to build a team to support the company’s current and prospective customers in the region.

Another area of focus will be to lead WorkJam’s global digital strategy practice. Myers will be charged with building a team and supporting a partner network dedicated to consulting with WorkJam’s customers on their digital communications strategy. This group will be committed to enabling customers to achieve exceptional return on their investment in WorkJam’s Digital Workplace Platform, by advising them on communications, engagement, and change management strategies for unleashing the full potential of their front-line team members.

The former chief operations officer of Target Australia is a visionary in the industry with deep experience across all aspects of a retail organization. Myers first made a name for himself at Coles Supermarkets, where he helped drive revenue to $37 billion across more than 800 store locations. He later joined Target Australia where he headed the team charged with transforming the supply chain, store operations, store format, and digital transformation of Target Australia. Myers and his team were successful in helping Target Australia regain market prominence and were recently named the winners of the 2018 National Retail Association of Australia’s “Innovator of the Year” award.

One of the key reasons Target Australia won the prestigious award was for using WorkJam to pioneer the company’s digital workplace. WorkJam was instrumental to enabling a communication and engagement strategy that was critical to rallying frontline store associates around the execution of the company’s successful turnaround strategy.

“There is no one in a better position to support our customers in the Asia Pacific region than Andrew,” said Steven Kramer, CEO, president, and co-founder of WorkJam. “Having used our technology to turn around one of the region’s largest and most well-established retailers, he fully understands how transformational WorkJam can be in helping companies unleash the power of their workforce. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome such an exceptionally experienced executive with deep operational expertise to our leadership team.”

“As a retail executive I’ve experienced first hand the power of WorkJam’s platform,” said Andrew Myers, vice president of Asia Pacific (APAC) and global digital strategy for WorkJam. “This technology drives massive return on investment across multiple functions for organizations with large populations of non-desk workers, such as companies in the retail sector. By deploying WorkJam at Target Australia, we were constantly seeing key metrics across the business improve way beyond our initial expectations, and in ways we never anticipated. By deploying WorkJam’s Digital Workplace, companies with non-desk workers are able to transform the economics of their business while building a culture that makes them the employer of choice, and this is of huge significance to multiple industries. With the company’s Melbourne-based APAC Headquarters located within eight hours of one-third of the world’s population, the company is strategically positioned for rapid growth, making it an opportunity I knew I had to be part of.”

WorkJam is a leading end-to-end solution that enables the digital workplace for large and mid-sized service organizations. The WorkJam Digital Workplace platform streamlines scheduling, communication, training, task management, and more into a unified application for employees across a wide range of industries, enabling companies with non-desk workers to achieve outsized operational improvements, foster collaboration, build their culture, and discover new ways of doing business.
